Even though he's young--still just 21--and his struggles came after a hyper-aggressive over-promotion to High-A, the hurdles Hawkins had to clear were too daunting and numerous to start contemplating his major league role anytime soon. It's probably not something we will ever have to do, so why get an early start?

Good News:
By far the biggest disappointment of 2013 at the minor league level was Courtney Hawkins being completely overwhelmed by High A. Well, he's getting a second crack at it and he's doing a good job of just making us shrug our shoulders at 2013 and move forward.
